The Apple Don't Fall Far From The Tree

My favorite quotes from "Little John" last week.

After a calf nocked him down several times he told her...."If you don't stop it, I'm gonna shoot you and eat you for my supper!"

He was sitting on the couch with a toy phone. I asked him what he was doing. He says, "I'm gonna call Doug Wilson."

At 2 and a half, he already wants to shoot critters and likes "questionable theology". That's my boy!

That's so funny!
Here's a funny from our 2 1/2 yo, Noah, this week:
We just moved to our new homestead, and have been wading through boxes. The boys are on "spring break" from homeschool so mommy can unpack. All this strangeness had them out of sorts, so I took them to the zoo for a fun day.
We went to the "children's farm" so they could, as the 5yo says "see what we're gonna get."
After an hour or so of peting the sheep and goats, feeding fish, watching the cows being milked, etc. we sat down for a graham cracker snack. Noah was happily crunching away when a rooster came right over and tried to steal his cracker. The 5yo, always the timid one, jumped up on the bench and started hollerin' "get away!" But Noah wouldn't budge. Neither would the rooster. I was trying to shoo it away, but it was determined to eat. I told Noah, "just give him the cracker." Noah turned and looked at me, shocked. "Mine. Mine. Then he turned to the rooster and screamed so loud everyone turned to look "MIIIIINE!" The rooster hurried away.
That's what I call having dominion. :)

Great Story. We have a 1 year old named Noah. All the kid does is eat, he'd probably try to kill the rooster and eat it! Its funny how many great stories there are with chickens. I still love to hear little John tell the story about the mother hen attacking him.

Good luck with your new place!
